Penny England was featured along with a guess list that included Jimmy Buffet, Chris Rock, Danny DiVito, Spike Lee and the Reverend Jesse Jackson as well as a host of other luminaries.

 

The New York Social Diary reports, "More than 1,400 guests attended the black-tie affair, including CEOs and executives of Fortune 500 corporations and minority business owners from across the nation."

Last week, TD Bank celebrated its newest branch, on East 59th Street and Park Avenue, with a street fair that included free food, a stilt walker (pictured) and juggler, live music, games and prizes. To mark the occasion, the TD Charitable Foundation also made a donation to Health Advocates for Older People, Inc., Central Synagogue, Young Women’s Leadership Foundation, Police Athletic League, Inc. and New York City Bridge Centennial Commission.

The Hamels Foundation's First-Annual Carnival Fundraising Event On Monday, May 11, 2009, Phillies’ pitcher Cole Hamels and wife Heidi Hamels hosted a carnival at the Carousel House Memorial Hall in the Please Touch Museum in Fairmount Park. The proceeds benefited their foundation, which aims to encourage and support community values and education in Philadelphia inner-city schools and also in in Malawi, Africa.
